Aluminium Isolation Platform

Crafted from the renowned 6061 aluminum alloy—a material celebrated in both aerospace and high-performance automotive engineering—this platform embodies strength, precision, and enduring elegance.

At a substantial thickness of 3/4 inch (19 mm), the platform achieves a level of stability that borders on immovable, ensuring a foundation of absolute confidence.

But structural integrity is only part of the story. By separating the aluminum platform from the ultra-dense MDF plinth with GAIA IV isolation footers, resonance is artfully controlled, unlocking the full potential of Pure Fidelity’s acclaimed “hybrid” design.

Celebrated with numerous industry awards, IsoAcoustics’ patented GAIA™ isolation footers are renowned for unlocking new levels of clarity, focus, and musical expression.

For Pure Fidelity, it was only fitting to collaborate with the Markham, Ontario innovators to create a bespoke, low-profile version tailored exclusively for the Horizon and Harmony.

The result is the GAIA™ IV — four precision-engineered footers seated in CNC-machined pockets of the aluminum isolation platform, providing the plinth with a foundation of unrivaled stability and refinement.

Ruby Bearing in a Low-Friction Bronze Shaft

In analogue playback, even the smallest imperfection is magnified thousands of times before it reaches your ears.

That’s why Pure Fidelity spares no compromise: a precision ruby bearing — second in hardness only to diamond — rotates within a custom bronze shaft, chosen for its superior strength and naturally low friction.

Though far more costly than conventional steel and brass, this pairing delivers a drive system of exceptional durability, silent operation, and effortless musical flow.

Conductor Speed Controller

Absolute pitch stability is essential to preserving the depth, scale, and tonal beauty of vinyl playback. Even the slightest speed fluctuation can blur timbre and collapse the soundstage. That’s why every Pure Fidelity turntable is equipped with the quartz-locked Conductor speed controller, ensuring unwavering rotational precision.

Fine Pitch Adjustment
Because many cherished recordings were mastered before modern standards, their playback speed may subtly deviate from perfect pitch. The Conductor allows precise correction across ±5% in 0.2% increments, with dedicated adjustments for both 33⅓ and 45 rpm. A center detent ensures effortless return to factory accuracy, giving every record its ideal presentation.

Pure, Isolated Power
Unlike household AC — plagued by noise, spikes, and distortion — the Conductor delivers pristine, fully isolated drive voltage to the motor. Stainless Steel Pulley with Dual Drive Belts

After exhaustive listening sessions with different pulley materials, belt shapes, and configurations, the clear winner emerged: a precision-machined stainless steel pulley driving not one, but two belts with perfectly round cross-sections.

This dual-belt system distributes torque evenly, enhancing stability while reducing micro-variations in speed. The result is rotation that feels effortless and unshakably steady, allowing music to flow with remarkable authority, openness, and natural ease. It’s a seemingly small refinement, but one that delivers a profound improvement, the kind of detail that separates Pure Fidelity from the ordinary.

Massive Delrin Platter

The platter is the heart of any turntable, and its material defines much of the character of playback. Glass platters, with their low mass, can sound lively but often require damping to control resonance. Aluminum offers heft, but its ringing demands mats and layers to compensate. Pure Fidelity takes a more elegant path: a single piece of Delrin®, an advanced engineering thermoplastic celebrated for its rigidity, low friction, and inherent resistance to resonance.

At 48 mm thick, this massive platter combines the mass required for unwavering speed stability with a natural, non-resonant character that needs no mat to tame it. Delrin® also shares key properties with the vinyl record itself, allowing the stylus to trace grooves with uncanny ease and authenticity. After evaluating countless alternatives, Delrin® proved unmatched in its ability to deliver music with balance, flow, and an almost organic warmth.
